evga just introduced two new 8800GT vid cards with modified coolers. The 512-P3-N807-AR at stock 8800GT speeds and the 512-P3-N808-AR at 720MHz core/2000MHz memory speeds!

Also, evga is selling the cooler kits as well for $39.99.

# 3 phase power design for extreme overclocking

Crap I think the first GTs only had 2 phase, I know the GTS has 3 so just thinkk of the clock you could get with it.

But mine is still faster LMAO

'k I caved.

I ordered two coolers for my 8800GT KOs. I've always liked evga's cooler setups since their 7800 KOs that they sold, so lets see how these do.

My coolers arrived yesterday, and I spent most of today installing them and rearranging my rig for dual slot coolers.

All I can say is; GET THESE COOLERS IF YOU HAVE 8800GTs!!!!

My idle temps dropped 10-12 degrees Celsius, and about 15-17 degrees Celsius under load! I did opt to put Arctic Silver 5 instead of using the thermal paste that came on the GPU block.

The odd thing is that these aren't just G92 8800GTS coolers, there's no angle to the fan like the 8800GTS coolers, they're more flat like the 8800GTX coolers.

The bad is that I will have to machine the back side heat sink to my lower card to allow for a rather large capacitor on my X-fi sound card.
